Founded in 1994, Annette Cook created a line of children's products in an array of calming colors that soothed the senses. Gathering inspiration from her three sons, Grayson, Chase and Preston. She used the softest flannels, satins, and knits as the foundation of the brand. In 2012, Annette lost her courageous battle with cancer. Determined to continue her legacy, her husband, Stan, built Barefoot Dreams into the brand it is today.

Hand Crafted Glassware
Select collections are hand painted with 24k gold and genuine platinum, and then each piece is individually set by hand into kilns, where at high temperatures the glass drapes over handmade ceramic molds. Precious metals permanently fuse to the glass during this step, and the glass “slumps” into their mold’s individual patterns, rendering each piece of Annieglass into a unique work of art.

ABOUT US
When Our family moved back to Aberdeen in 2019, our youngest daughter, Anna Kate was about to graduate and head off to MSU. My husband, Nolan and I grew up here in Aberdeen, but had moved to Caledonia, where we spent about 8 years. We liked it in Caledonia, but it is sure great to be back home.
Well, with the youngest out of the nest, it was time for me to to come up with something to fill my days and fulfill a dream at the same time. I made a proposal to to my husband. I had an idea to open a Gift and Home Decor Store, right here in Aberdeen. I could not believe my ears when he said “go for it!” That was in July of 2019. My sister, Dawn and I went to work looking for different items to bring to our little town. We remodelled the building (thanks to a great Carpenter, David Harrell who was very patient with me...lol). We opened our doors on October 25th, 2019 and have not looked back. It’s been so much fun meeting the many different people that shop The Blue Owl and we are just having the most fun.
It is hard to believe my dream has been a reality for almost three years now! I have awesome employees and am so thankful to have made it through the first year of Covid!! It certainly was not easy, but we made it! I cannot thank our wonderful customers enough for their support!!! We love each and every one of you and appreciate your business and your friendship!
